A daily routine gives children a sense of security. This is why we ensure each day is properly structured while leaving enough time for spontaneous activities.

Twinkle Cottage Day Nursery encourages a free flowing learning environment which provides various resources that have been selected to meet your child’s needs. During the course of the session your child will have access to explore the seven areas of learning:

Prime areas of learning: 

• Personal, Social and Emotional Development
• Communication, Language and Literacy
• Physical Development 

Specific areas of learning:

• Maths
• Literacy 
• understanding the world 
• Expressive arts and design 

 

Daily Routine:

Comets and Planets example:  

7:30-9:00 - Breakfasts and child initiated learning

9:05-9:30 - Welcome song, circle time, 

9:30 - 10:00 - Free flow and child Initiated learning 

10:00 -11:30 - Free flow snack, garden and child initated play

11:30 - 11:45 - Story time

11:45 - 12:30- Lunch

1pm - The routine is then repeated for the afternoon session.

 The daily routine is altered throughout the day to meet the children’s individual needs/spontaneous learning experiences.

The routine includes tasks such as hand washing, toileting, nappy changing, tidy up time

9:45 - 10:00 - Welcome time, Circle time 

10:00-10:30-  Snack Time

10:30 - 11:30 - Child initiated / adult led learning

The routine is the repeated in the afternoon and can be altered to meet the needs of individuals.

The routine includes tasks such as nappy changing time and sleep times.
