Twinkle Cottage Day Nursery opened in September 2011 and is already providing high quality care and education to families in the surrounding area of Fratton. Twinkle Cottage is the second nursery for owner Lorraine Gahagan who also owns Twinkle Star Day Nursery in the North End area of Portsmouth.

Twinkle Cottage thrives on building strong relationships with families that use the setting, we  are regualr visitors to the local  library, and we can often be seen out and about in the local communicate using the parks, transport, local sea front

we welcome parents and carers  to come along to see what is going on, maybe join the parent rota, or come in and read a story. 

Children are all individual and that is exactly how they are treated whilst attending the setting! Practitioners plan fun and exciting learning opportunities for each child ensuring that they working towards identified next steps, parents and carers are kept involved by receiving regular updates on how their child is progressing at nursery, and of course, regular liaisons with the key person ensures that communication between home and nursery is consistent this is completed by using the online learning Journal and during handovers. 

 We have good links with the local infant schools and liaise with teachers to ensure that the transition between nursery and big school is a happy, stress free experience for the whole family.
